Open Email to CEO of MHRA re GlaxoSmithKline and Seroxat

Dear Mr Woods [and others copied in on this email]

As you will now be aware GlaxoSmithKline have once again been found guilty of withholding important information with regard to their best-selling antidepressant, Seroxat.

As a concerned citizen of the United Kingdom and former Seroxat user I would like to know if the MHRA intend to prosecute GlaxoSmithKline for this particular crime.

You will be aware that a jury in Pennsylvania, United States, found by a majority of 10 to 2 that GlaxoSmithKline were negligent in not warning the mother of Lyam Kilker about the dangers of taking Seroxat whilst pregnant. The jury also found that Seroxat was the causation of Lyam Kilker being born with heart defects. You may wish to read the deposition of Jane Nieman [former GSK Executive] - Your current employee, Dr Ian Hudson even gets a mention!

Now, the way I see it Mr Woods, is that Seroxat and GlaxoSmithKline will pay the Kilker family the compensation awarded then go about their daily business in their usual manner.
